TradFi Bridge (CrossConversion)
Also known as CrossConversion — Sails.to's mechanism for converting on-chain CrossSecurities to bankable ISIN securities.
Full Definition
The TradFi (Traditional Finance) Bridge, now called CrossConversion, is a unique feature of Sails.to that allows investors to move CrossSecurities between on-chain and bankable forms. Tokens held on Solana can be "crossed" to receive an ISIN and be settled through Clearstream, appearing in the investor's regular brokerage account. Conversely, bankable ISIN-held securities can be crossed back to on-chain tokens. This is what makes CrossSecurities truly hybrid.
Why It Matters
CrossConversion (formerly TradFi Bridge) is what makes Sails CrossSecurities different from every other security token platform. Most platforms force you to choose: on-chain OR bankable. CrossSecurities let you have both.
Start with on-chain Solana tokens for cheap transfers and 24/7 trading. When you need institutional credibility or want to use your existing broker, CrossConvert to bankable ISIN format and settle through Clearstream. Same CrossSecurity, same ownership rights, different rails. The conversion takes about a week and costs around $4K—a small price for bankable legitimacy.
